Up All Night!

Oh last night was a terrible night. I feel so sorry my husband. He too was up all night and still had to go to Jury duty today!! Ugghhhh poor guy.

Nathaniel cried and cried for 3 solid hours and then off and on the rest of the night.

Timmy was no angel either. He too was up crying. It was really strange. We are not sure what is wrong with the two of them.

For Nathaniel we fed him his bottle of formula, then we tried some juice, we put some cortisone on some of his dry skin, we took him out of his winterish pjs (thinking he might be too hot in them) we put cooler ones on him (did not want him to be too cold) we changed his bedding, we changed his diapers, we gave him a small suppository, we gave him gas relief drops, we put teething medicine on his gums, we held him, we laid him down to fuss it out, we rocked him, we sang to him, we put his night light on, we turned it off. We tried feeding him some pudding (thinking perhaps he was feeling hungry) but he would have nothing to do with the food. We gave him some Tylenol thinking maybe he had a headache from all the crying.

Then we gave ourselves some Tylenol!

As you can see we really felt like we did all we could possibly do. He finally just fell asleep. But never slept well, he was up and down the rest of the night too During all of this my 5 year old woke up fussing too. He ended up sleeping in our bed but he kept waking up and demanding drinks thru out the night.

Needless to say I am exhausted! But a good thing happened.

School was canceled today which meant my one son could stay home and my others would not mind taking a day off from school work. Also we now will have no Awana's tonight. My husband and I are the cubbie leaders so we would have been there this evening. Now my husband will get home and get some rest and hopefully tonight we be a better night for us all!

I am truly going to sit and find some quiet time with the Lord today. I really feel I need to lean on him for strength today! I don't wish to be too cranky with my other kids (that can happen when a momma is working on such little sleep!) I am sure many of you can relate!

Ugh...so sorry to hear of your rough night. Hope tonight goes better for you. It isn't any fun to have sick or sleepless babies. My suggestion- take a well deserved nap! Most likely your little guys will want one too. ;) I think I might take one and I did get enough sleep last night! =)

You poor thing!!! We are expecting our second little one in the next couple weeks and I am so afraid (well... hoping it doesn't happen anyway) that this one won't be as good a sleeper as DS is and has been! Our 14 month old was always a great sleeper.

I hope you get some rest today!

Oh, what a pathetic little face... just makes me want to cry along with him!! It's SO hard when little ones are sick... our 20-month old was sick 2 weeks ago, and our 4 year old has been sick this week... I feel your pain, mama! Take good care of your pumpkins and yourself... and try to get some rest!
